Sadie May Adamy

Blending Rick Griffin-esque psychedelia with the Art Nouveau intricacy of Alphonse Mucha, 27-year-old Sadie May Reidy has positioned herself as one of the leading ladies of the next generations of poster art. Starting young as a passionate artist living on the banks of Lake Ontario, at a very early age she proved to those around her where she was headed. By age 13, Sadie had won “Best in Medium” at the Fulton Arts Association awards. She was professionally doing posters by age 17.

After 10 years in the industry, she still seeks out new influences, and attends workshops. Some of these have been held by Amanda Sage, as well as by David and Aloria Weaver. Never satisfied with having just one medium, style, or falling into a rut, time and again Sadie May has proven to be willing to learn, grow, and shift as needed to perfect the art she is commissioned to make. To date, she has made posters for touring acts and events in numerous genres, though she often ends up being the inspired hand behind some of your favorite posters for bluegrass, jam/psychedelic, metal, folk, and punk artists, and acts. Some notable artists she has established a working relationship with are Max Creek, Zach Nugent, Sam Grisman Project, The Hackensaw Boys, Dirty Blanket, Folkfaces and more.

These days she often uses her trusty iPad Pro, an Apple pencil, and Procreate for her works. Despite the favored digital format, she still continues to produce and sell art pieces done with acrylics, charcoal, fabric, and mixed media.

Nate McClennan

My name is Illuminate and I am an illustrator and lenticular artist. I care deeply for the environment and for all sentient beings. My artistic goal is to produce work that captures the humor of our outlandish society and the ultimate mystery of existence. The intent is to elicit inquiry, train discernment, and empower one's consciousness to rise above the shallowness of our contemporary culture.

Images are not arbitrary glyphs but, rather, portals into another dimension of reality. The power to transform and catalyze perception lies in a combination of the artist's intentions and the viewer's reception. Each piece contains stories and symbolism about my philosophy and sense of the divine. Some images appear chaotic and some funny, but at the heart of it all is my attempt to guide the viewer through realms of symbolic language towards the transcendent understanding of our world/self relation. My belief is that we are all divine characters in the storybook of life, and above all else, we are one soul. The liberating truth is non-duality. All is connected and shaped by the same ultimate source.

Carl Lundgren

Lundgren had an early interest in becoming a fantasy artist and illustrator like Frank Frazetta, his idol. At the age of 18, he was co-chairman of the first multimedia science fiction convention, The Detroit Triple Fan Fair, featuring comics, movies and science fiction. He studied with the Famous Artists School correspondence course, for formal training.

In 1967 Lundgren met rock poster artist Gary Grimshaw, who was illustrating posters for a Detroit rock venue, run by Russ Gibb, called the Grande Ballroom. Grimshaw offered him a job, and Lundgren went on to create poster art for seminal bands such as The Who, Jefferson Airplane and Pink Floyd.

In 1974 Lundgren moved to New York City and turned to science fiction and fantasy illustration for a living, painting nearly 300 book covers. During this time, Lundgren became a co-founder of the Association of Science Fiction and Fantasy Artists (ASFA) and was nominated for a Hugo Award for his illustration work.

Lundgren quit working for the publishing industry in 1987, choosing to instead to focus on fine art. In 1993 he wrote and published an autobiography called Carl Lundgren, Great Artist and in 2015 Hermes Press published a book by Lundgren on his posters titled The Psychedelic Rock Art of Carl Lundgren.
